James Cox A Canadian Tale

01 May 2008 Howdy People,I"'ve finally got around to writing a second blog and letting you know my going"'s on.Over the last 3 weeks I"'ve been feeding animals, cleaning the zoo and building new pens and loving every moment. It"'s great! Also the weather has been lovely ( about 20-25C) for the last 2 or so weeks so I"'m brown as a berry. To actually be able to go around everyday and be so close to these amazing animals is awesome. Yesterday I even had the honour of being the first person to seeing the arctic wolf pups when I was doing my morning check. I can feel a wolf pup being called James on the way. Juliet Ju's Latin American Adventure

01 May 2008 I have a house!!! Yay! Oh what joy! I have been pumped about writing that on this blog for two and a half weeks now. After looking at over 10 apartments I finally fell in love with one. Actually as all things work out its probably lucky that I saw 10 apartments before this one because it meant that I was really able to appreciate it. If I had seen it first I might not have known how good it is. It is in Palermo (Belle you can look it up in your Qantas article actually I read that one on the flight to Sydney in between tears ;) ) which, if youve been getting the Read More

Chris Barclay Bemr goes to South Korea

30 Apr 2008 I have decided to try and keep the blogandnbsp;up at least a couple times aandnbsp;week. It is a great release for me. It is day 2 here in my new temporary home. I had dinner last night and it was really quite good. Roasted chicken and veggies. This was at a restaurant in the hotel so it is geared toward newbies like me. I am sure there will be wild stories as I get out and about. I got a call from my new boss yesterday. Apparently May 1st is a holiday so I do not have to report until Friday. This will give me a chance to shop a little. This place is massive in every Read More

Liebe Kristina,
Danke fr Deinen Travelblog. Weiterhin gute Reise. Liebe Gre Dein Papa

We were very sad that we were not able to be there for your party, we really wanted to be. Mike has been waiting for the weather to break so he can wet sand and paint the Vette. We already miss you. Take care we\'ll send you pictures as the work on the car progresses.

I\'m only on my second day without you and it looks like its going to take some time to get used to you not being here. I now hear all those little noises during the night that you don\'t normally pay any attention to. The oldest cat \"Junior\" has been sitting at the back door making the most obnoxious meows.....just waiting for you to come home. 2:00 am this morning, Junior is at it again......anyway, I sure miss you more than I could ever have imagined......love you always, your Smoocher

Yvonne Dacey - Wallyvonne's Greyt Nomad Adventure

30 Apr 2008 We have just spent the last 2.5 weeks in Iluka which is just south of Byron Bay.andnbsp; This has been the longest stay at any one place since we started our adventure last September.andnbsp; You will see in the photos that we were camped right on the Clarence River where we saw dolphins swimming right past our door.andnbsp; Mind you, it rained, and rained, and rained and rainedandnbsp; - at one point it was raining so hard, that I said to Wally, Surely it cant rain any harder and then it did!!!!!andnbsp; It pelted down.andnbsp; Its great to listen to the rain on the caravan roof.andnbsp; I suppose that it didnt rain on about 5 days of Read More

I agree with your comments about players being traded all over the league all the time. The Mariners held onto Edgar Martinez his whole career and that was great. You get to feel like they are homeboys and a part of the sports community. I wish we could have held on to Griffey and Rodriguez but that almighty dollar calls. At least we still have Ichiro!

29 Apr 2008 The peregrinos went to church last night.andnbsp; A very nice serviceandnbsp; for the pilgrims with the fathers singing-chanting beautifully.andnbsp; The church was very beautiful and we thought of all our friends/family dealing with lifes difficulties and challenges.andnbsp; The blessings were felt all around.andnbsp; As indicated, our first day walking was a real challenge because not only was there an uphill climb, but the aches and pains were pronounced, amidst the rain, cold.andnbsp; Evenandnbsp;snow fell after the 2000 ft level at Orrisson.andnbsp; (Early signs of pre"'hyperthermia was evident, especially with the 2 guys.)andnbsp; We stayed at the monastery which housed 120 walkers from all parts of the world.andnbsp; Met many Canadians, Hungarians, Brazilians, of course, Germans, Italians, and Read More

We were at the Fabric Market in downtown Shanghai and did we do some shoppingsome serious power shopping! MaryAnne Take Me Out to the Ballgame

29 Apr 2008 April 28, 2008 andnbsp; We watched the Diamondbacks beat the Astros tonight in a not-so-exciting game, but the ballpark more than made up for it. What a great park! The parking was close and easy, the grounds were clean and all the staff was very friendly. Even the crowd was different. Right away I could tell that everyone seemed much more laid back than at the other parks. I couldnt quite put my finger on it at first, but then I realized that no one was talking on a cell phone! Really no one! Everyone was either in to the game or the people around them. No watching basketball, no gabbing on the phone it Read More

Hi Ganey. That sounds absolutely terrifying. There\'s no way I\'d ever be brave enough to do that. Can\'t believe you came that close to the edge, also the story about the french girl . . . did she just forget about the cliff behind her???!!!! Don\'t know about Moos suggestions . . . darts could be pretty dangerous after a few beers. Hope you had a great bday.

Marie Coffland Nio Encargados

29 Apr 2008 So, we did it!andnbsp; My husband watched on as I pressed that little send button.andnbsp;andnbsp; That send button has sentandnbsp;thousands of dollars out of our account to pay for airline tickets. Itandnbsp;will also sendandnbsp;our family on a journey to Mexico with only the children of this family having a handle on the Spanish language. We"'re a little nervous, but also very excited about this exciting adventure! We are really excited to finally give the kids an opportunity to use their Spanish andandnbsp;become moreandnbsp;fluent. andnbsp; It will also be a great excuse for me to try to learn more too. I"'m sure the greatest casualty of this experience willandnbsp;be that after six weeks away from the pace of a busy career, Read More
