Hi Peter, not a member of ukgser any more so thought I\'d post a note here to say this writeup is superb. Love the easy going relaxed vibes from it. I\'m prepping my new bike and intend to do something similar at some point. No doubt I\'ll catch you at the next meet and you can pour out the details. Greets :) Andrew (Snoopy)

Andrusha,
you are a brilliant travel writer., I can smell the sharp ozone , crackling in the air, feel slaps of the callous hands of the semi-drunk natives on your shoulders and hear the tinkling of the excitement bubbles in you blood when, as the only gringo, you were dancing chora with the native crowd. The rush of the mountainous bike rides I am not so sure about. Have a woderful time, Son, but please be safe.

Hi guys I agree with Helen, Adam is cute and has great pecks. Anyway, while I am slaving away at work (oh that\'s right, you two don\'t know what that means anymore)you are having the trip of a lifetime. The pictures are absolutely outstanding and keep posting them, so I can drool at my desk that I seemed to be chained to.

Dear Bernard and Margaret - Your adventures get more exciting all the time. Margaret, I have heard of several cases of labyrinthitis recently including my son-in-law, Bob Brunner, who had a dose this August while in Wolfe Island. I never heard of it before this year... maybe there is some sort of mild epidemic. I am pleased that Gaynor is joining you for the passage to the BVI\'s. She is such a strong, natural sailor. By the way, I am now a GREAT grandfather. Julia Elizabeth Mary Atkins was born 17th October in Brussels. All best wishes on your treck to the south Caribbean. Love from us both. Pat and Joe.

Wendy Toms, Sunday, October 19, 2008Hi Bernard and Maggie, Well, well. All these hazzards that you are having can only increase your experiences on the high seas. Perhaps you should write a book about the unexpected when riding the waves !! However, I do hope you are enjoying yourselves. I am off to Australia next week until the end of November. So back to Barbados at the begining of December. My gas boiler decided to die on me on Thursday, so I am piling on the jumpers right now, though it is very mild during the day, it gets cold at night. No time to get it fixed before March, anyway the son of a sea cook told me it would cost between 3 and 4.000 to get it fixed.!!!! I thought to myself,he must have thought I was a dumb bimbo,so I sent him off with a flea in his ear. Amongst all your setbacks I hope you are keeping well, and how is the cooking going Maggie? I wish you a happy time and a safe journey. Lots of love Wendy.

This is an impressive saga, Bernard. I am moved to repeat my previous
reaction which is thanks that the situation has kept you close to
ready (?) repairs for a couple of months before you set sail for the south Caribbean. Pat and I are now back from our two week trip to
California. All went well on the trip. Kellie\'s husband, James, is
now working in Washington DC and Kellie herself is expecting their
baby on 18th October. Watch this space!

Hola Chicos!
Wow! What an amazing adventure, \"scraping\" the Peruvian sky. The kids looked great, like they were actually having fun. You viejos looked pretty good too.
The views in the photos would rival any postcard. Really great shots!
Now we can see how steep the ruins actually are. Don\'t think these old legs would get me far, though. So I\'m able to enjoy the experience through you.
Thanks again for the marvelous tour! Love, Oma
